A Message in a Bottle
by Tiffany Kennedy
Me time; feat. cute gifts, small messages, and a little bottle that is yet to be broken. Seriously, I’m surprised I haven’t dropped it yet.
When you keep getting the time wrong, and can’t remember what day it is because of the overload of heat from not only the summer but from various screens, you know it’s time to take a break. I seem to whine way too much about how long I spend using technology, even though technology is such a big factor in everything I do, but it does get overwhelming sometimes. Especially when everything radiates heat and you spend almost six hours each day looking at a screen while typing away. (I mean, I couldn’t even play Pokemon that long, “back in the day”, without having to lie down for a bit).
Upon arriving home from Singapore (posts will be coming soon), I was happily welcomed by a small parcel from Birambi. When I first looked at this store, I fell in love with the idea and concept that it welcomed. Everyone sends emails, texts, Facebook messages etc, and post doesn’t seem to be used as much as it used to. So, when I saw this little package, it made me beyond happy, and that’s a big part of the whole business of this brand. And considering that I don’t do reviews anymore, the mention of this is pretty big, well for me anyway.
In our world filled with screens and instant messaging, Birambi, has cute little presents that are made for mailing to your friends or family. You can write out a little message and it’s attached to the product to be sent off to someone else, which I think is so cute, and is definitely something I’ll be doing this year. All my friends are getting cute little presents, it’s just more thoughtful as well as personal. A message in a bottle.
Nikki & Elbrig (from the Netherlands), are the creators of this simple but effective concept, were kind enough to send me this cute bottle of bath salts, which actually made my skin shimmer a little bit afterwards. (It could’ve been left over product from something else in my bath but I highly doubt it). And it was just so cute and lovely to see something like that at my door with a cute message. From the Little Gifts to the Printables, I kind of want to keep everything to myself. This whole brand is just going to make Christmas easier for me next year, and the prices are quite low which works so well for a student who is between high school and university, not knowing what is happening (aka me).
This was a relaxing moment from having my back hunched over for too long each day. Now, I’m back to doing the same thing, knowing that I’ll probably be annoyed at myself when I turn 60 or something like that. My schedule is growing bigger by the second, and my reminders/to do list, is doubling as I keep remembering things. At least I’ll be able to tick Christmas presents and Birthday gifts, off the list quicker this year.
PS. My Personal favourite on the site right now, is the hot chocolate one, I need to get some of that.
