3 Of My Most Used Lipsticks

by Tiffany Kennedy

I’ve started to become a little bit obsessed with lipsticks recently. It doesn’t matter if I already have a similar colour, there are always different textures and wearability when it comes to different products. I don’t have as many lipsticks as some other people might have but the amount I do have seems like a fair bit to me, considering that everyone I know doesn’t have as many lipsticks as me (oops) but I love makeup and I’ll continue to collect more lipsticks. So, I thought that I would share with you the three lipsticks that I wear the most.

M.A.C Matte Lipstick: Please Me

This lipstick lasts a long time and has a very vibrant nude colour. It’s easy to just put on and leave the house, completing whatever look you’re going for that day, or just giving you a little something when you decide to go for a bit more of a no-makeup look. It gives a nice finish, but if your lips I feeling a little bit dry, wear some lip balm before applying it, since this is a matte lipstick after all.

Chanel Rouge Allure: 102 Palpitante

I’ve already mentioned this lipstick so many times before on this blog but it continues to be my go to lipstick when it comes to reds. Now this lipstick is a little pinkish, so it’s not ‘red-red’, it’s more of a raspberry red, if that makes any sense. But it will last all day, no matter what you eat or drink, and it has such a beautiful finish. I didn’t think I could fall in love with a lipstick until I tried this!

Yves Saint Laurent Sheer Candy: Colour ’12’

Now I know that people prefer other lipsticks from YSL because they have more colour to them, whereas this one is more sheer, but I think these shimmery sheer colours just add a little something to your lips. Whenever I’m wearing a small amount of makeup or I go for a darker smokey eye, I would always wear this (or I’d alternate with the M.A.C Lipstick shown above). This lipstick always works for me, and it’s very hydrating for the lips, whereas matte nude lipsticks can be drying at times.
