Winter’s Haute Couture
by Tiffany Kennedy
Sometimes it’s really hard to gain inspiration for winter. Winter is about layers and the darker side of the colour palette, which is completely different from summer and spring which usually holds the best of the couture market. Obviously there is a large difference between couture and street style, but recently the runways have been mixing them together, so, if the runways can do it, then why can’t we? From Christian Dior to Alexander McQueen, I’ve complied a few images contain some amazing pieces from different runways showing some winter haute couture looks from the past few years. Hopefully this collection of haute couture designs will spark some inspiration for your winter wardrobe. For those of you who aren’t really looking for inspiration but instead just want to gaze and some haute couture I’ve linked a Pinterest board to this page which includes a few of these images, just so you can explore a little bit more.
Remember ‘You can never be overdressed or over educated’ (Oscar Wilde), so, play around and do your research, you never know what you’ll create or find.
